Over the years, Constance adopted dogs, cats and many other animals as pet. She loves the company of her pets and cherished the moments when they are together. There are a lot of wonderful moments as well as tragic ones.
Once she had a pet dog named Casper, a West Highland White Terrier. She adopted it ever since it was a puppy, it was loyal and always been a good company to Constance whenever she was feeling down. One day when she was walking in the parks with Casper, a king cobra appeared from the bushes. She was shocked and scared, she tried to run away but her fear kept her feet still. Slowly the snake moved in to attack her before she realise. Out of a sudden Casper rushed in front of the snake, trying to protect Constance. After the fight, the king cobra fled, leaving Casper lying on the floor with blood rushing out of its neck. Constance cried, knowing that there is nothing she can do to save Casper. After staying beside Casper till its last breath, Constance carried it home and buried it in her backyard. She knew though Casper is gone, the memories they had together will always remain.
After the tragedy, she kept one of Casper’s collars and wrote a passage in her diary about the incident in order to remind herself of Casper’s heroic action. Eventually, diary is full of experience as such and other happy ones. Finally, she decided to share her experience with more people by publishing her stories on papers. Slowly, her stories started to catch people’s attention and other people also started to do the same thing. However, publishing stories on papers require a large amount of money and recognition from authorities. Eventually, Constance realised that she could work as a custodian of the animal hall of record and make a living out of it while enjoying sharing her stories with other people.
